Programs @ Nageela The Camp Nageela Experience is comprised of a wealth of activities and specialty programming designed to cater to the interests of each individual camper. The daily schedule is packed with excitement, fun and adventure while giving our campers the opportunities to develop skills and build friendships. Besides our regular schedule and typical programs, here are some of the ‘extra’s that you might want to know about!
Color War Towards the end of each camp session (on an undisclosed day!), the entire camp is divided into 2 teams, each under the banner of a different color, for a fun-filled, action-packed, two-day Color War! From creative plays to sports to songs to WaCKy races and much more, Color War is the opportunity for our campers to express themselves and shine in new ways. Color War is one of the highlights of our campers’ summers.
As much as we love our campgrounds, we do leave at times! Trips in Camp Nageela are always unique and memorable experiences. Summer trips are always top secret before camp. Some past destinations have included theme parks, state parks, professional baseball games, professional soccer games, skating, bowling and more! Campout A much anticipated annual event, campers in each division enjoy a special night out. The evening begins with bonfires and cookouts, continues with games and stories and ultimately concludes with bedtime. As campers advance through the different division of Camp Nageela Midwest, the campout experience becomes a more intense and rich experience. Tree of Values Once a week, campers and staff gather around the Tree of Values where one camper is nominated for each of our 3 Nageela values- Adventure, Discovery and Friendship. Stories and lessons learned are shared and the campers' names remain hanging from the tree all week. Campers work hard to earn these honors and we are thrilled that it is a difficult decision each week to choose just one camper to represent the value.
Camp Nageela Midwest is well known for their unique theme each and every summer. The theme is reflected in that summer’s logo and printed on the camp shirts that each camper and staff member receive. Many special days and programs are connected to the theme. The theme remains top secret before camp. Hints are posted on Instagram before camp with prizes awarded to the first campers that figure it out! Past summer themes have been All-Star Summer, Jam (music), Games, Magic, Sports, Dr. Seuss, iNageela, 5 Star Summer, Going Places… 
Night Activities Camp Nageela is famous for its exciting and innovative night activities. Every night campers are treated to a unique and thrilling night activity. Every year features some annual favorites and some new surprises. Theme based activities, Nageela’s Got Talent, Bonfires, Chinese Lanterns, and more! |
